Measurement at the ram

Strain sensors measure the bending up or the strain of the press frame. This deforms proportionally to the acting force. In this way, the press forces can be measured very easily and overload-proof. This method is cost-effective and does not require any height in the press working area. Due to the spatial distance to the process, the sensors are well protected and easy to install.

Measuring cylinder in line with the press stroke

Do you need to measure and document the machining force for the press stroke with minimum inherent deformation of the sensor? This is where the high-precision force measuring cylinders from X-Sensors come in handy. They are screwed directly into the force flow and measure even very high forces with low inherent deformation.

Measuring ring in line with the press stroke

If it is necessary to document each individual pressing process very precisely, then the use of a calibratable sensor mounted in the force flow is recommended. The use of a measuring ring has the great advantage that it requires only a minimum of height in the working area. Due to its high protection class, it can be used in the immediate vicinity of the process without hesitation.

Press force reference measurements

Load cells make it possible to measure the press force in the press chamber very accurately in order to obtain a comparison with the force display of a plant. Despite the high forces and weights, the load cells for mobile use are easy to handle: they can be connected directly to the X-315 display unit.

Universal Display Device

Reference sensors of all types can be connected to the universal display unit from X-SENSORS. The device displays force and strain, both of the individual sensors and the total value. Different machine types can be stored in the evaluation device, so that measured values from different sensors can be read easily and safely even by untrained operators.

Measurement on presses

Assembly, riveting, stamping, forming, welding…, the existing uses for press tools in assembly, punching, and forming, are innumerable and new applications are constantly being found. Sensors from X-SENSORS allow forces to be measured reliably, whether using conventional force sensors or strain gages in the body of the machine or its supports. Using miniature sensors, working forces up to 2000kN can be measured directly at the tool. It goes without saying that appropriate amplifiers, cables, and accessories, are also available.
