The XC-310 column-type compression load cell measures precisely and quickly in the force range from 100 kN to 200 kN with a high degree of accuracy and a maximum error of < 1%. It has a robust design and is very overload-proof. With its stable compression body, the force transducer is suitable as a compression force sensor for dynamic applications, especially for measuring rapidly occurring forces directly in the force flow.

The sensor comes with a measuring case containing a digital display. The standard functions of the nozzle pressure measuring system include reading the input variable, storing maximum and minimum values (peak/valley) and zero point setting. In addition, an analogue output (0-10 V) is available for retransmission of the measured value. The sensor is attached to the injection plate via a magnetic base and can be adapted to the geometry of the injection moulding machine using the changeable adapter.

The XC-310 is particularly suitable for precisely measuring the nozzle forces occurring in injection moulding machines. The force curves are recorded with a high degree of accuracy thanks to the compact compression body of the sensor. For the measuring principle of the columnar force sensor, compression measuring bodies are used to which the strain gauges are applied. The strain gauge force sensor is integrated directly into the force flow. The force is applied centrally and axially via the contact surface.

Installation and deployment

Electrical connection

The Force Sensors from X-Sensors are based on a strain gauge full bridge with strain gauges. The output signal for this Sensor is specified in mV/V. Various input modules of controllers already allow the direct connection of Force Sensors with strain gauge full bridge.

In addition, measuring Amplifiers with voltage output (0-10 V) and current output (4-20 mA) are available, which amplify the strain gauge full bridges accordingly. The measuring Amplifiers are available in a robust field housing, for DIN rail mounting or in an inline housing.

Mechanical connection / construction

The advantages of the compression Force Sensors are the easy handling. The force acting centrically from above is measured. The various Force Sensors are versatile and are used in the areas of material testing machines, hardness testers, measurement of compressive forces, press-in force control and as Load Cells.

The mounting of the strain gauge Force Sensors is uncomplicated, either via the thread or via the prefabricated holes, depending on the model.
