Strain sensors, or strain transducers, record the strains between the screw-on surfaces. Screwed onto existing structures, the process forces can be measured indirectly via the tiny strains in the rigid structures. X-Sensors has strain sensors suitable for static and dynamic applications in its product range. The sensors are available with amplified standard signals (0-10 V or 4-20 mA) and with strain gauge measuring bridges signals.

Mounting outside the working space allows space-saving and protected mounting of the strain transducers away from moving parts. Strain transducers are a clever alternative for measuring process forces when force transducers cannot be used for structural reasons. When measuring large process forces, they are a compact and cost-effective alternative for force sensors measuring in the force flow.

Different designs in robust housings allow the use in harsh industrial environments.
